Al Baraka names former ADIB exec new CEO as Adnan Yousif retires

Bahrain's Al Baraka Banking Group has named a new President and chief executive as Adnan Ahmed Yousif retires.

Yousif served Al Baraka for some two decades. 

Mazin Khairy Manna will start on January 1, 2021, the Group said on Wednesday (Dec 9). 

Manna was the Group CEO of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank from March 2019 to August 2020, according to his LinkedIn profile.

He takes over an organisation that is going through the process of conversion of the Group's license from an Islamic wholesale bank to a Category 1 Islamic investment firm. The conversion will allow the Group to change the operational structure of the parent company in Bahrain but the change will not impact its banking subsidiaries.

Al Baraka is present in 17 countries.
