Saudi food company Almarai names new CEO
Saudi Arabian food company Almarai has named Abdullah Nasser Al Bader as its new chief executive.
Al Bader takes over from Majed Nazen Nofal who resigned in November.
Managing Director Bader Abdullah Al Issa was in charge in the interim.
Al Bader was Almarai's executive vice president for bakery since 2015, the company said on Thursday (March 4).
He is also the CEO and board member of Modern Food Industry LLC (7 Days) as well as chair of the board of directors of Dairy & Food Polytechnic.
Almarai's business includes poultry, bakery, dairy and juice, and foodservice. It operates in its home market Saudi Arabia as well as across the Middle East.
Al Bader takes over a company that made 1.98 billion riyals ($0.53 bln) in net profit last year, a rise of 9.5% compared to 2019.
