Saudi issues 5.755 bln riyals in sukuk as part of monthly programme
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Finance has sold 5.755 billion riyals ($1.53 billion) in sukuk as part of its monthly programme.
The May 2020 issuance under the Saudi Arabian Government SAR-denominated Sukuk Programme was sold in two tranches.
The 5-year tranche of 3.805 billion riyals will mature on March 23, 2025. It carries a final profit rate of 2.17%.
The 10-year 1.95 billion riyals tranche will pay a profit rate of 2.69% and mature on March 23, 2030.
The ministry’s debt management office in April reported sukuk issuance of 5.55 billion riyals and 15.568 billion in March.
